Most recent project in September 2022 with INTUIT TRIO - The Amsterdam based Jazz band just prepared the release of their new album, I am very happy how the cover design turned out. I did sail illustration as an analogue monoprint to include in the digital design later.
My largest book project up to date: a notebook as Christmas present, every employee and all the partners of Bergfreunde GmbH received a notebook to thank them for the hard work in the weird Covid year of 2021, also the year in which Bergfreunde celebrated their 15th year in business as well as being Germany´s most successful Online outdoor retailer in that year. The project was part of my job then, but thanks to fantastic teamwork it felt like a passionate project. The notebook was designed and conceptualised as sustainable and premium print object, and our printer was the high quality Brandbook in Frankfurt. Some book lovers facts: Format 141x207mm, cover double-sided screen print on Jeanslabel material incl. illustration of the CEO´s (all illustrations by the talented Thomas Hartmann alias Illustrathomas), pre-pages on collared Gmund paper, main book: 192 pages with punctuated grid on Munken paper including many sustainable tips and reads linked by QR codes next to great illustrations, 16 extractable Kudo cards on Peyer Surbalin paper, handlettered by me, to thank your colleagues in every language the company sees as “focus language”, thread binding in read with a Swiss brochure back, CO2 free production in Germany, 1.500 prints;
Brauwerk Freistil is a craft brewery in Tübingen, founded by a New Zealander and a German, I created for them an illustrated flyer including the founder´s portraits and naturally also included a kiwi and a pine cone to represent NZ and the Blackforest brewing location (2021)
